We just received an invite to a friend's wedding in Matanzas in April 2012. Needless to say, we are both honoured and thrilled.
On another positive note, we'll be in Varadero that week on vacation; can the timing BE any better??
Anybody ever been to an "authentic" Cuban wedding? Our friends are in their late 20s. We have no other details at this time.
Are Cuban weddings like ours? (i.e. wedding in church, followed by reception, dancing, toasts, etc.) I'd like to know the protocol so as not to ruffle any feathers! I mean, what does one offer a Cuban amiga on her wedding? What kind of gift would be appropriate without offending?
