I am looking for a Carribean island with rainforests/ecotourism and nice beaches, that is not on the Euro. I would also love for it to be French-speaking, but a Spanish-speaking island would be awesome as well.
Can anyone direct me to a place that fulfills these, or at least most of these criteria?
Many thanks |

This may help some..
Bermuda is actually a Beautiful place to go...This would be something that the adults would really enjoy...but not a 15 year old. The Bahamas have a lot of things to do for everyone...depending on the hotel that you stay...you could have everything paid (all inclusives)
Aruba is good for snorkeling, believe this or not...but aruba is made up of desert landscaping..lots of cacti...
Turks and Caicos...known for the caves and salt lakes and cliffs...they are not as developed in the tourist activities...Beautiful island...absolutley beautiful....
The caymans are known for the 7 mile beach, shopping, snorkeling..stingrays, diving, caves, I love the cayman islands, not very many all inclusives here, 15 year old would lik it...can be alittle pricey...
St. Lucia-rain forest...jeep safaris'...shopping...snorkeling and scuba...this is a very peaceful and relaxing island to go to.... |

We loved St. Martin. Half of this island is French territory and French is the primary language spoken. Euro is accepted, but American dollar is always accepted as well. The restaurants were awesome, the people very friendly and the beaches are some of the best I have ever enjoyed. Also, Anguilla is a short catamaran trip away (best beaches in the world they say) and both are very non-touristy.
There is a rainforest reserve in the middle of the island- I have never been to other rainforest, so not sure how it compares. Definitely not deep rainforest but very cool guy trying to keep this place viable. We enjoyed it |
