Hi everyone,
i'm going with my boyfriend to visit my sister in Mexico next month, and we'll take this opportunity to spend some holidays in Cuba!
she has been graduated, so we gonna celebrate it! we'll stay there for a week and after we want to stay in Cuba for a week, to relax and to enjoy the beach
we don't know what is best for us in la Habana, a hotel or a hostel?
my sister helped us find some stuff: http://www.hostelbookers.com/hostels/cuba/havana/ and http://hotel.twenga.co.uk/cuba/havana.html
i'm surprised to see that the hostels are so cheap, maybe it can be a good choice?
if someone has a suggestion, i'm taking it :p
thanks a lot!
and happy new year! |

The Blau Varadero Hotel is not a thing of beauty. In fact it looks like a very large lump of concrete, not great to look at, not remotely rustic, but very functional. It is after all a large hotel with over 340 rooms and suites.
Talking of the rooms, they are a little Spartan, but very clean, well supplied with towels, and also spotlessly white sheets which are changed regularly by the very willing and industrious maids. The maids are part of a staff that works very hard to ensure you have a great vacation.

| Hostelbookers is very nice website to find a budgeted accommodation. I have used this many times. But try to select a well located accommodation with an easy access to attractions, public transportation, shopping and dining areas. This will help you to save on traveling costs. |

Can’t agree any more. However others say about the website or the hotels, you need to find one suit your demands best. When I was in cuba, I didn’t take the “fabulous accommodations” as commented, but a small b&b. I then had the opportunity to chat with the owner and got some useful info about my sightseeing and saved a lot. May this helps. _________________ travel around the world |

| IMO, Cuba is pretty good destination in Caribbean for holidays which is home to really lovely citizens, exotic flora, steamy weather and a thrilling nightlife. If you’re planning towards there so visit Havana which is one the biggest tourist attractions of Cuba. |

Travel in Cuba is not only requires a passport, money and a good sturdy rucksack; it also requires flexibility, creativity, good humor, patience and a healthy sense of adventure. Speaking Spanish, though not a prerequisite, is undoubtedly a huge advantage, and will allow you to travel further and dig deeper than the average tourist.
