| Which would you choose for a 6 night getaway w/husband & no kids. Which is nicer/fancier/better beach/better service? Both are same distance from our home...(flying to Provo or flying to St. Maarten) anyone been to both? pros/cons? |

I haven't been to Somerset but can tell you we were very disappointed with La Samanna and won't ever consider a return visit. The resort is so far past its prime it's not funny. Go there only if you want to waste money - service is poor, food just OK, beach is average. This resort has been resting on it's laurels for years.
FYI - have been to Provo and the beaches on that island are far superior to the ones on ST. Martin. |

| FYI La Semana put allot of Money in the updating the resort last season and It looks Great and the beach + location are just stunning! |
