Hi everyone
I am planning a trip to Punta Cana in January and i'm really excited about the beaches but i was wondering if there are any safe nightclubs in the area that me and three of my girlfriends could visit. We really love to dance and we've asked the hotel but I wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations? Thanks. |

If you're going to the Dominican Republic, try Puerta Plata which is the newest resort area rather than Punta Cana which is not as popular. In January, they have their hottest season which is Winter for us here. Beautiful beaches, good food, I recommend that you try the native foods as it has less chemicals than ours at home. The people are very respectful and pleasant and not all of them speak English, but there is usually someone who does. Cancun is also beautiful but more expensive. Both places are filled with activities that are both free and many offsite trips that you need to pay for.
Ideal tour for 2 weeks: Fly to Puerto Plata and go to Cabarete for the first 2 or 3 nights and stay in one of the hotels right on the beach - Sancouicci is ok, and its 50 yards from all of the nightlife which takes place right on the beach. After a few days, rent a car and drive to Las Terrenas. Again look for a small hotel. Nightlife is in the town, lots to do during the day. If you want a bit of "all-in" you can usually get a room fairly cheap in "Il Portillo" for 2 or 3 nights. Stay as long as you feel you want to, and then head back towards the Puerto Plata area either staying in Cabarete again if you liked it, or Sosua if you want to try something else. |

The biggest problem is : Punta Cana this is a "Golden Jail Hotels Area", witch mean very nice/good hotels, but nothing to do outside, because the next town (Higuey) is 30 miles away! So for what I can understand about what you wanna do, this is surely not the right place! Go to Puerto Plata 10x better, more to see and to discover! and bigger beaches!
Anyway guy´s enjoy it! |

| I stayed at the grand oasis punta cana last july, it was great we were in block 6 and it was modern compared to some of the other blocks, the disco in the complex wasnt great, everyone was asking the d.j to play stuff we knew but he kept playing spanish stuff because thats what he liked! it was quite small too. oasis arranges a bus to the mangu club some nights after the show and one night we went, it was about a half hr journey. it was pretty good but the drinks were quite expensive! that was the only bad thing, again it was mainly spanish music though and we got a bit bored and went home early. |

I work in Bavaro and I see that Punta cana is really growing....but the problem is many people dont know or explore what there is to do in the area.
There are so many tours and activities you can do during the day....and there is some fun stuff to do at night. As far as clubs there is Imagine which is a club in a cave, Pacha, Areito, and Mangu. There is also some other nice little spots like HardRock Cafe and Monte Cristo in the beautiful shopping plaza called Palma Real.
I have also heard that there is a big New York club called webster hall opening up at Palma Real shopping village..so I am sure that will be the new place to be when it opens!
maybe do a google search for webster hall pc..and see what you get!
