Sunset Beach Resort

Anyone have any first hand information on this resort? How does it compare to other all-inclusives in Jamaica?

It depends on your package if airfare is included or not. It isn't always. And most all-inclusive include all food and drinks, alcoholic or not. Keep in mind that this doesn't mean that food and drinks are served continuously. They also include all non motorized water sports. Only a few offer free scuba.

The Sunset Beach Resort and Water Park is an attractive resort located about 15 minutes drive from Montego Bay and offer a variety of activities including water sports, scuba diving and beach fun and entertainment. The beaches are so appealing and consist of soft white sand and clear crystal water which offer a lot of charm and attraction for tourists.

If you are expecting, table waiters, carpet and an ideal beaches, get real. The hotel was very nice. The weather conditions and beach is ruled by nature, not hotel personnel. Also, you are visiting--not expecting to live there. Leave your "valuables" at home if you really value them. No one cares if you are dressed to 9's for dinner here. It is a restaurant to EAT not flaunt your ego. You are in their country, if you were treated with disrespect, just maybe your attitude justified the service you received. All people deserve your ability to put personal infections of social order aside, to be kind. Putting it bluntly, your room was tagged by the personnel as being "difficult" Therefore put the attitude aside when traveling. You can get harsh treatment even at the finer hotels, it depends on you. We found enough chairs at the beach and inside to satisfy everyone. The buffet was excellent, and all you had to do was politely ask for whatever item was missing. (You have that in your own home also--use common sense!) The secured area was not meant to be Fort Knox, but gave a degree of assurance, again, use common sense. I would go back in a heart beat. It was very nice.
