Anguilla is still a basically primitive place. This is the island many "stars" go to for escape the people. I like it that it is so close to St Marten and St Barts. My daughter loves to go swim with the dolphins there. Be sure and take a snorkeling tour there on one of the catamarands. The tour around the island from the ocean is so pretty! If you want to see even better what the island is like, buy Jimmy Buffett's Rendevous Bay DVD/CD that came out last month. It will give you a good feel of the place. Hope you have fun...I envy you.

The beaches of Anguilla are awesome. Water sports is why most people go there. The beaches have beautiful white sand and the water is crystal clear, you can see you painted toe nails.

You can also take a short ferry ride and spend the day on St Martin/St Maarten. It's worth the trip.

Wow! I love snorkeling! It gives me the opportunity to observe underwater life in a natural setting. I love taking pictures of coral reefs! I wish to visit Anguilla one day.

Anguilla is very unique. Turks is nice but built up. The hotels and restaurants are nice though. We also like Virgin Gorda (little dix). The beaches are nice (a shade below Anguilla however) and its very quiet/quaint. The restaurants are not in the same league. We still love the charm of VG. Another option would be Harbour Island. Nice hotels/beach etc but much smaller than Anguilla. You have the option to do day trips to Eleuthera (very sleepy/quiet with several beautiful beaches - Not sophisticated). Have you considered Four Seasons in Exuma? Again you do not have the restaurant selection that you have with Anguilla but you can't go wrong with the beaches on Exuma. Peter Island in the BVI is another idea but you are more or less restricted to the hotel restaurants etc.
