| Hi there! I would also like to learn more about Cuba. I tried using the internet. I used google and was able to see several sites that talk about Cuba. I also researched in Wikipedia. But I would really love to know more about Cuba. Perhaps from those who really have lived in Cuba. Or at least from those who already have visited Cuba. |

| Fishing, scuba diving, and swimming are the water activities of choice in Cuba. You’ll need a permit to fish, but experienced anglers will want to seek out marlin, swordfish and dorado and perhaps enter the Hemingway International Fishing Tournament. Scuba diving is best in Cubanacan, Santiago, and Cayo Largo, where underwater reefs and multicolored fish make each dive memorable. Swimming can be done all over the island and is immensely enjoyable. Try Playa Giron, a sparkling, sheltered cove known to most Americans as Bay of Pigs. A word of caution: only swim in salt water, not fresh water, as it is possible to acquire parasitic tropical diseases in fresh water. |

I've recently come back from my first trip to Cuba, stayed at the NH Parque Central which is conveniently located near to Old Havana, has rooftop swimming pool and good breakfast buffet. The cocktails were better her than the famous places eg El Floridita.
Best eating was in paladares of which there are many to choose from, I particularly liked Vistamar in Miramar (and Miramar was a very interesting part of Havana). You can buy bottled water at kiosks easily.
Walked all around Havana, from Old Havana to the Hotel Nacional.Money goes quite quickly and we took all the cash we needed in advance and changed into CUC at Havana airport although there are places to withdraw against a credit card in Havana.
There are many trips that can be taken from Havana,to beaches or Viñales or Ernest Hemmingway's house (Key West house is better though) and many others. We took a car and driver outside the hotel without any prebooking for various trips, and there were usually guides in museums. |

Cuba offers much to do to the tourists of all ages but much depends upon your personal likings. I am listing below some activities, I like personally:
Stroll the Famous Malecon
Tour Old Havana
Visit Varadero, Cayo Coco,
Catch a Live Cuban Music Performance
Go Scuba Diving and many more .......
If you want to book luxury resorts for ultimate comforts, you may visit sites of travel.justluxe.com or destination360.com or tripadvisor.com etc. |

Things to do in Cuba may be like:
Cuba has a great coastline. At beautiful Cuban beaches you can enjoy a number of water sports.
You can enjoy fresh and innovative Cuban music at Cuban night clubs or music houses and dance to live salsa.
Go for Scuba Diving and watch colorful water creatures. |

Regarding local art, there are valuable artists, among them painters and handicraft men who show nature and local people in their work, paintings or patch-work. We can mention, for instance, Ramon Vazquez and Ebenecer Ballart.
Walking about the village, particularly Rafael Trejo and Salvador Cisneros Streets, it is possible to see the houses where some artists work. It is recommended, to have more complete information on this matter, going to the Visitor's Center of the National Park and consult the information panels they have.

I think Cuba is a nice place to go into. Nice place, nice people and most especially nice cars. Old fashioned but still very attractive. I have never been there, but I think one of this days I'll be there.
That a new opportunity is opening up for audacious automakers, as a formerly closed market is making itself available. Economic reforms have led to the resumption of new car sales - in Cuba. Because Car makers are always looking for new markets to export their cars to, in hopes of acquiring brand new consumers. |
